Privacy

Short version: no accounts, we don't keep your recipes, and anything you save stays on your device.

No accounts

There's no sign-up or login, and the site sets no tracking or advertising cookies.

Your recipes

• Pasted recipes are converted in your browser and aren't sent to us.
• Recipe links: our server fetches that one page to read its ingredient list and baking time, sends the result back to your browser, and keeps nothing: not the page, not the recipe, not the link.
• Photos are read on your device (with Tesseract.js) and aren't uploaded. If we ever add a server-side photo reader, this page will say so first.
• Your ZIP code is matched to an altitude using data that ships with the site, so it isn't sent to any lookup service.

What's saved, and where

Only on your device. Your browser remembers your last ZIP code or altitude (localStorage) and, for the current tab only, whether you chose "Show changes" (sessionStorage). Downloading a recipe card, printing, or sharing creates the file or share on your device; we don't receive a copy. To clear these, clear this site's data in your browser.

Hosting and analytics

The site runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). Like any host, Cloudflare handles the requests your browser makes, including your IP address, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies (page, referrer, browser and country). Our own code doesn't log or store your recipes.

Links to sources and other sites take you to pages with their own privacy policies. There are no affiliate links on this site right now; if that changes, they'll be labeled where they appear.
